Every month, independent practitioners count the Rand behind ZARsc and publish what they find.

Proof came first. Before the wallet, the listings or the brand, Supercoin had to answer the question every stablecoin gets asked: is the money actually there?

“Trust us” is not a reserve policy. So we went looking for people whose whole job is checking, and we found them at Moore.

Moore Blockchain and Digital Assets is the dedicated digital asset practice within Moore Johannesburg, an independent member firm of the Moore Global network, one of the world’s most established accounting and advisory networks. The team provides proof of reserves and digital asset assurance for exchanges, issuers and token projects. Accountants, in other words. Crypto has plenty of promises and too few people with checklists, which is exactly why we wanted the checklists.

ZARsc is a Rand-backed stablecoin issued onto Solana by Supercoin, an FSCA-licensed Crypto Asset Service Provider (FSP 53458) under the FAIS Act 37 of 2002. It is built for one job: moving Rand value at the speed the internet already moves everything else.

Every month, Moore Blockchain and Digital Assets performs Agreed-Upon Procedures under ISRS 4400 (Revised) over the ZARsc reserve position and publishes a Report on Factual Findings. The name will never trend. The work should. An independent practitioner checks the Rand reserves held at regulated South African financial institutions against the ZARsc supply visible on chain, then reports what they found. Supercoin does not mark its own homework. The reports go up on the Supercoin website every month, for anyone to read, whether the month flattered us or not.

Proof also has a shelf life. A report from last year tells you about last year. So the question gets asked again every month, and the answer gets published again every month: is every ZARsc token backed in Rand?

That matters beyond Supercoin’s own walls. ZARsc is built to live in many venues: exchanges, wallets, payment platforms and payroll rails that want Rand settlement without taking anyone’s word for it. Every partner that lists or integrates ZARsc inherits the same monthly check from day one.

Assurance is one layer of a larger trust structure.

Fireblocks secures the operational layer, the minting, holding and redemption of every ZARsc. Moore independently verifies the reserve position that the operation stands behind. The custody that banks already trust on one side, alongside the people banks already send their books to on the other.

“We chose Moore before we chose almost anything else. If you issue a stablecoin, independent monthly proof is not a marketing exercise. It is the licence to be believed.”  - Gideon Greaves, MD of Supercoin

“Digital assets may operate differently from traditional financial products, but the need for independent scrutiny and transparency remains the same. Through our work with Supercoin, we put those principles into practice with regular reporting on the reserves supporting ZARsc.” - Dale Russell, Director: Head of Blockchain and Digital Assets

South Africa is the starting point, not the destination. Supercoin’s ambition is a family of African currency-backed stablecoins, with ZARsc first and a multi-chain path ahead. The verification model travels with it. Each token, in each market, gets the same monthly check from its first mint.

Monthly assurance reports for ZARsc are always available for review via the Supercoin website. Partners interested in issuing, listing or integrating ZARsc can reach the Supercoin team via support@supercoin.co.za
